My husband and I have the worst luck when it comes to buying vehicles.
We have bought a few lemons in the past, and now, we just bought a car with air conditioning issues. We didn’t know that it had air conditioning issues when we bought it, of course. We didn’t even think to check for air conditioning leaks or anything like that. It just wasn’t something that we were concerned about at the time, although I wish that we would have been. We test drove the car, and we did use the air conditioning. It was a short test drive though. It was only about ten minutes long, and the air conditioning did work, but we didn’t notice that it did not work well. The previous owners of the vehicle did not mention anything being wrong with the air conditioning either. It was not until the next day when we drove it to work that we noticed the air conditioning did not get very cool. I was still sweating even though the air conditioner was on full blast. It was quite disappointing. My husband charged the air conditioner, and it worked well for a few hours, so he believes that there is a leak in one of the air conditioning lines. We called a mechanic to get an estimate on how much it would cost to fix our AC line, and when we heard the cost, we almost fell out of our seats. It was outrageous what they were asking. It would have cost half the value of the car. As of now, my husband is going to try to fix it on his own. Hopefully, he can.
