I have lived on the east coast our entire lives, and after a lifetime spent making a life in this area, it is time for a change! I was recently awarded a lucrative position with a firm in our industry on the other side of the country. Basically, I will be moving from coast to coast to fill the role. It is an exciting time to be sure! Still, it’s also kind of alarming. I’ll need to get used to some unusual if not strange ways of life out on the west coast, that just doesn’t occur too much here. The people in general typically being so nice will be pretty annoying at first, but I’ll get used to it and it’ll grow on me. I generally do care about people, even strangers. The weather will be a big change for me too, as where I live versus where I am going both experience summer season weather. However, out there the Winters are much milder. I assume that means I will be using the gas furnace much less than I do now, which is pretty cool. I am fine with not having to be cooped up for a few months of the year with the gas furnace blasting just to stay warm. There is also the issue of air quality with weather like this. The air filter for the Heating system is way dirtier after a Winter full of closed doors and furnace use, so it’ll be a nice change to be in moderate plus sunny weather throughout the year!
