What the heck happened with our heater

When we obtained our home about 15 years ago the two of us knew that it needed some drastic renovations, and the problem was, the two of us were young and our jobs didn’t pay that much so the two of us knew the two of us would have to do things one project at a time, all of us did what the two of us had to do to be able to initially move into the house, and now, 15 years later, the two of us are still doing renovations… The living room and home office have been completely done and I absolutely adore those, but the most important change I want done more than anything else is the washroom.  Okay, it is a functional room but, it is not exactly what you would call a comfortable location to be. Every time someone runs the hot water I have to leave the fan going for at least 2 hours just to remove the moisture from the room… If I do not do this I am constantly battling mildew that grows along the shower walls. The main concern with the room is that it really has positively no ventilation other than the small washroom fan that is extremely outdated. There are no windows in the room so I cannot even open those on a beautiful spring day to get fresh air into the room! Researching the options I asked my husband to look into  installing more than one thing, first a frosted window so that the two of us can have natural light and fresh spring air at the same time. Secondly, as the room has an outside wall, I would adore for him to install a small mini-break Heating and A/C component so that the two of us can control both temperature and moisture in the bathroom as needed. I suppose that the Heating and A/C component will be a little bit costly but the two of us are in a different situation with our careers than the two of us were 15 years ago and can absolutely afford it.
